Personal Armor System for Ground Troops (PASGT) helmet. It is made of and has been in use since 1983.

PASGT helmet provides ballistic protection for the head from fragmenting munitions and handgun bullets. It consists of strap suspension system inside the helmet and two-point chin strap. It can be upgraded with a four point chinstrap and pad suspension system. Constructed with multi-layers of high ballistic cloth impregnated with a thermo-plastic resin. This helmet is designed to provide the protection against fragmentation and ballistic threats.
